Just after Micromax launches Funbook ICS tabet in India, Karnonn announces their first Android Tablet Karbonn Smart Tab 1 with Ice cream sandwich operating system.
Its price is Rs 6,990. Other tablet in the same price range are Micromax Funbook tab (Rs 6499) and HCL ME Tab (Rs 7,999). Although the Karbonn claim that its Smart Tab has superior video and gaming experience, thus targeting consumer who are looking for entertainment in their tablet. Karbonn Smart Tab 1 is powered by 1.2 GHz processor and has latest Google Android 4.0 OS aka ICS os. Smart Tab 1 has 17.8cm 5 point multi-touch display. Karbonn Smart Tab 1 is backed by heavy 3700 mAh battery which can deliver 8Hr of Video viewing or internet browsing on tab. Tablet also has HDMI port so one can connect it to external display with ease. This tablet also has no GPS and Bluetooth feature but has G-Sensor for rich gaming experience. Well Diwakar , its a good choice who require only tablet for entertainment. In this price range.. none of company provide 3g facility inbuilt.. but it support 3g dongle.. you can’t make normal call but can use skype or other VOIP services for making call. otherwise some company like olive pad , reliance tab etc provide call functionality.

Yes you can install skype to call skype to skype as like your computer. USB dongle means device like tataphoton, MTS datacard, Airtel Data card ..

It has 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory. In addition it support extenal memory upto 32 GB via USB/SD card

Karbonn smart tab not have option for calling, but you can use internet through wi fi and 3g usb dongle like MTS Blaze, tata photon .

Hello Rajat, it is not possible with current android devices . It is not a PC, just a tablet . You can connect usb dongle like Airtel data card and use 2g or 3g sim in it and can surf net. Or you can also use wi-fi feature if you are in any wi-fi area.
Karbonn smart tab NOT compatible for skype, google video chats….. the company is silent on these facts. this reduces the usability of the tab to a great extent.

This device have good processor and memory, you can play almost games application which is available on play store. It support HD Games, but some games are not installed in this device .
